California Snow    It's snowing in Califonia tonight. It isn't the kind of snow that melts into a greasy slush by morning, filling the expensive shoes of expensive businessmen, the kind of snow that pisses people off. After Hours System FailureAnother sleepless night.  But I tell you, it's no Sleepless In Seattle  here  in this muggy silence  and the deafening heat  of this third night  of mine.   
My defenses are down  but my mind is wired, ready ready  whirr-clank-buzz, it's ready ready  for racing day, yeah  Sensations galore  assault me.  
 
I'm forced to pay mind  to every one.  Like little children,  persistent children,  they mob me.  Heat, sheets, that drunken  idiot  warbling his undying love  to the wall...

LessonJust keep your mind blank. Don't think. Play. It's always the same advice. I'm beginning to wonder if she puts any actual conscious effort put into this broken-record, psuedo-sifu spewage at all, or if she's already given up on me. Just like she gave up on him. I do perfectly fine when there's no one there and I'm just jammin' on the piano by myself. The house's empty, and the neighbor's schizoid dog is down for the day. Okay. So you've got a perfect little blend going here, now add some tension. Add a person. Doesn't matter who. It could be anyone. My mother, teacher, friend, whoever. Watch the reaction of the two factors meeting each other. Lesson

Green Tea DayWell hello  It's a green tea day today.  Pale bamboo swirls  comforting my frazzled self.  And my little demon  residing in the brown-glazed  porcelain.  "Watashi wa totemo nemutaidesu"  I say to him.  "Hojicha wo nomimasuka?"  says he.  "Hai. Nomimasu."  "Douzo."  "Domo."  "Douitashimashite."  goes our conversation.  So it'll be all right.  It's a green tea day today.

I have such a horrid bout of writer's block. My writing notebook is sitting in a most ironic place---under at least twenty pounds worth of wonderful novels.

And I can't think of a single original thing to say that I haven't seen somewhere else in some way, shape, or form.

Come to think of it, I should just push that thought out the window, because, as the somewhat cynical, forgetful, and seemingly manipulative long-term sub for my Honors English class said, "There are no new stories."

Had to type it eight times, since eight is a lucky number. Four is the number of death, but take death and increase it twofold, and that somehow equals wealth, happiness, and long life.
